Karen Farr had forwarded a response she received from the Senedd dated July 2022. This stated that as soon as due diligence has been carried out on the business plan from the Man Green, the Senedd will engage with the Community Council.
The Working Group comprising of Community Councillors, residents and business representatives had met to develop a survey to gather local opinions. However, as not all information is available on which to base their questions it was decided to wait until more information was made available. It was reported that Fiona Stewart had received threats from a member of the public, the Community Council condones any threatening behavior. The Clerk reported she had received a call from the Police asking if the Community Council had received any information concerning unrest within the community as the Police are concerned there may be protests at the Green Man Festival. The Clerk informed the Police that the Community Council are unaware of any planned protests. The Community Council also received an acknowledgement to its request for a timeline. Awaiting response. After several Introductory letter drafts and versions of the survey it was decided that without further factual information to share with the public the survey would be premature. The group would wait for more information from Fiona Stewart and the proposed business plan and meet again after receipt.
A working group was put together by the Community Council Chair to create a survey for residents to share their views on the Gilestone/Greenman proposal.
The group was represented by Simon Baldwin, Ellen Walsh Moorman TOUCC, Alastair Mackeown environmental and businesses, Fiona Goodsell local businesses and Phil Derbyshire UVCG. In discussion were : How to distribute a survey What questions would be relevant concerning: Bats, Curlews and other protected species, Traffic, Drugs and Crime, Real Estate Prices, Litter, River Pollution, Disruption in the village, Noise Pollution, Light Pollution, Possible movement of the large festival and size of events. It was agreed to draw up a sample for approval by the group. |
