In the picturesque village of Talybont on Usk in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, our village hall has served its community and welcomed guests for over 50 years.  Following the generous donation of local resident Mrs Henderson, it was built in 1969. At the time, the hall was considered to be a landmark initiative. It prompted other neighbourhoods to follow suit with community buildings so they too could host a variety of events. Over the years, the Hall has relied on the commitment of volunteers in the shape of its own trustees, Talybont on Usk Community Council, Friends of the Hall and local groups to ensure its sustainability. Numerous grants have been secured and thanks to the work of Talybont on Usk Energy Group, the Hall is increasingly recognised for its Green credentials.
Available for hire for everyone, it is a venue for local interest groups to meet as well as being used for sporting fixtures, parties, weddings, business meetings and film nights.
A small meeting room, fully fitted kitchen, stage, changing rooms and showers complement the large main hall that is accessed through a spacious entrance lobby. The village hall has full disabled access, and is equipped with audio video facilities. It is the ideal conference and training venue for Mid Wales and Powys.
